EconomyRussia's ruble hits strongest level since April 2018

Moscow (The Times Groupe)- The Russian Ruble hit its strongest level against the dollar in four years on Monday as Moscow backed the currency.

Having sunk as low as 150 to the greenback in early March following the start of the war in Ukraine, the Russian currency then gained ground, with the dollar/ruble exchange rate reaching 57.1 as of 12.30 GMT.

Russia’s capital controls and other financial measures helped the ruble become the world’s top performing currency this year.
