WorldFox News reporter injured while reporting in Ukraine

Kyiv (Times Of Ocean)- Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall, who had been deployed in recent weeks to cover the Ukraine war, has been hospitalized after being injured while reporting outside of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, which Russian forces have been attempting to encircle and capture for weeks, the network announced on Monday.

In a message sent to Fox News employees by CEO Suzanne Scott, John Roberts broke the news during his broadcast on Monday afternoon. “Earlier today, our correspondent Benjamin Hall was injured while newsgathering outside of Kyiv in Ukraine. We have a minimal level of details right now, but Ben is hospitalized and our teams on the ground are working to gather additional information as the situation quickly unfolds,” he said.

“The safety of our entire team of journalists in Ukraine and the surrounding regions is our top priority and of the utmost importance.”

Roberts continued: “This is a stark reminder for all journalists who are putting their lives on the line every day to deliver the news from the war zone. We will update everyone as we know more. Please keep Ben and his family in your prayers.”

Hall has three young daughters at home.

Other journalists from the Fox News still remain in Ukraine to cover on the war.

American journalist and former New York Times contributed Brent Renaud was killed on Sunday outside Kyiv in Irpin, a suburban town that has seen intense fighting in recent days as Russian military approach the Ukrainian capital city.

Since the Russian troops launched their invasion of Ukraine, hundreds of civilians were killed and thousands injured, while the number of military casualties is not immediately clear.
